A few minutes' walk from the Kiendl, a rocky outcrop called “Roll” rises up in the middle of the forests of the Naiftal. A small bench in the shade of old trees is ideal for relaxing moments with a view or a short break on a hike to the Schenner Waalweg.
Or how about an evening stroll through the woods?
Our Kiendl hotel is situated on a sunny slope above Merano at 600 meters above sea level, where the sun shines 300 days a year. South Tyrol's sunny days and cool nights are the ideal companions on the ripening path of the South Tyrolean apple with its unmistakable taste. Various apple varieties thrive in an environmentally friendly and natural way on 45,000 square meters around our hotel.
Our tip for those seeking peace and quiet: the apple orchards at the edge of the woods offer the most beautiful view of Merano and the surrounding mountains. If you're lucky, you might even come across a deer or two roaming quietly through the woods of the Naif valley.
Where a blacksmith once skillfully shaped iron, you will now find one of the Kiendlhof's apple orchards, idyllically situated in the middle of dense woodland and close to the Naif stream.
This peaceful spot is ideal for yoga or romantic picnics for two before sunset - where only the sound of the stream and the chirping of the birds break the silence.
Nestled in the Mediterranean gardens you will find two panoramic platforms. This is where the view of the Merano region is at its best! Ideal for sociable moments with friends over an aperitif, a picnic or before sunset for a sundowner of your choice!
